Matt is a local Lake Seminole angler and will be reporting to us throughout the month after his days on the water.  His knowledge of Bass Fishing and Lake Seminole will be an asset to this site.  Thanks Matt!

Lake Seminole Fishing Report

Lake Seminole - near full pool, 80 degrees, stained

Bass - Good.  The bass are biting really good right now. The majority of the fish are postspawners that are feeding up on bream and Shad on outside grass edges all over the lake.  Topwater frogs and buzzbaits work good in the early mornings.  A buzzing frog such as a Big Bite Baits Buzzing Warmouth swimmed over the grass works good as does a Buddha Baits Snooze Alarm buzzbait in 3/8 oz. Use both on a Lews Tournament Speed Spool with a high speed 8:3:1 gear ratio and a 7'3" 3/4 Heavy Fast Action Buddha Stick with 50 lb Sunline braid.  Use white colors for Shad in the morning and bream colors in the afternoon.  There is also some submerged grass beds on down the lake near the dam that are good for throwing a bladed jig or shallow running crankbait. Look for these areas on your Lowrance hds units and structure scan technology. Most of these lures and fishing equipment can be found at Westside Bait & Tackle on Spring Creek Road in Bainbridge Ga.
